Controlled Labs White Flood

Controlled Labs White Flood 2.0 Available in Canada

Controlled Labs continues to impress with their revamped pre-workout White Flood 2.0. I took 2 scoops of White Flood approx. 30 mins prior to my last workout and I have to say, after my first couple of sets I felt GREAT! Was feeling more focused and just overall more pumped up than usual.

The main difference between version 1.0 and 2.0 is that they revamped their “Nitric Flood Complex” taking out the now inferior arginine and using citrulline as their main ingredient for increasing nitric oxide (the pump). I felt way more pumped up then I remember feeling with the old version of White Flood, which I use to use religiously for quite some time.

The flavour I have is juicy watermelon and it is decent not the best but definitely not the worst. Just make sure you use enough water otherwise the flavour will be waay too strong. Same goes for most pre-workouts though so I’m sure many of you are familiar with that.

White Flood 2.0 has actually been out for awhile now but has not been available to Canada until recently when L-Carnitine was approved by Health Canada in mid December 2011. So if you are Canadian and were a fan of White Flood 1.0 then you should definitely get your hands on 2.0, you will NOT be disappointed! I will admit that I am a liiittle bit of a Controlled Labs fanboy but if you have tried out their products and talked to any of their reps you would understand why; they are an overall awesome company.

Controlled Labs White Flood Nutrition Facts Label

Another big plus about Controlled Labs White Flood is that you can get 100 servings (100 scoops) for only $39.99 – 40 cents a serving? Can’t beat that! You can check out their Bodybuilding store product page here: White Flood 2.0 Product Page

*Update: SVNCanada Now has L-carnitine in stock as well, the product will be more expensive($31.95 for 60caps) than buying from the states but shipping will be much faster and cheaper – www.svncanada.com/product/1801/dymatize-xtreme-carnitine

L-Carnitine (levocarnitine) is now allowed to be included in natural health products in Canada! (dietary supplements). This is great news and it is a long time coming! Many of us Canadians were upset about the fact that this substance was banned as it limited our selection of supplements. Many great products manufactured in the US contain L-Carnitine, which Canada will now be able to get. Of course, it may take some time before all the companies catch up with this news release so just hang tight and hold on to the fact that it will be very soon!

For those wondering… L-Carnitine is a required amino acid compound in the breakdown of fats and is found in many of the top selling supplements in the United States.

Looks like Bodybuilding.com has updated their shipping to reflect the new regulations in Canada already, so you will be able to purchase many of the products listed here! (Probably for up to %50 cheaper than when it hits Canadian shelves) L-Carnitine Product Listing, unless they contain DMAE or Yohimbe (both are still banned in Canada and will be found in some fat burners/pre-workouts)

Along with Carnitine, there were 9 other ingredients that had the same classification changed to allow them be used in natural health products. Another notable mention would be L-tryptophan which is commonly used as a sleep aid due to its ability to raise seratonin (calming neurotransmitter) and/or melatonin (sleep inducing hormone) levels.

For the complete list of unbanned ingredients check the news release here: Government of Canada increases options for Natural Health Products

This is definitely a good start, Good job Health Canada!
